Who We Are
Quality Marine Electronics opened their doors in 1995 providing commercial marine navigation and communication support all around the Pacific northwest waterways. Since then, Quality Marine Electronics has been known as the go-to shop for commercial workboat electronics needs. Ask any workboat in the Pacific waterways, if you need something working right and need it working yesterday... call Quality Marine.
In 2010 Quality Marine acquired the VMI charger line from McCarron Corp; and brought on Mike McCarron as the lead engineer to continue, and evolve, the VMI chargers. Quality Marine setup two major departments, Quality Marine Electronics and Quality Power Technologies. Quality Marine Electronics took on the existing marine navigation/communication sales and support while Quality Power Technologies was tasked with manufactuing and improving the VMI charger lineup acquired from McCarron Corp. Since the acqusition of the VMI charger line, the upgrades to the VMI chargers we introduced have included: all stainless steel hardware, all aluminum powder-coated enclosure, an all new custom heatsink, a new transformer design to improve efficiency and reduce operating temperatures, and a redesign of the VMI control PCB to optimize charger function.
In late 2013 Quality Marine acquried Ryan Watkins. With this acquistion, Quality Marine has been able to branch into Electronic Charting computer systems. Quality Marine is a certified sales and support dealer Furuno, Transas and RosePoint ECS & ECDIS systems and software. Quality Marine is also capable of intergrating and managing onboard computer and IT network solutions, with IT systems custom built and designed to function reliably in even some of the harshest marine environments.
